lastnoble I mean this is a pretty biased review given that this is *my band* but there's something about everyone I get the privilege to play with that allows us to make some uniquely fun 'n funky tunes. Favorite track: Rainbow Lightning.

DJL68 Mind-blowing musical concoction; sounds like 1966 and 1972 thrown into a blender, and then garnished with even more lunacy. I guarantee this will remain one of 2017's most unique, adventurous, and enjoyable efforts even when the years closes- And beyond. Essential purchase? Indeed! Favorite track: Money in the Bank.

paul rote Sounds like someone discovered their grandfather's album collection and tucked inside an Amon Duul Album was some authentic LSD from the early seventies.
How else do you describe this ?

about

"Old Bottles," as in the usual format and container you're used to hearing an album in, and "New Medicine," as in new music, STRAIGHT TO YOUR EAR HOLES, from DBMB.
Recorded and compiled over a half a year of the Medicine Band's life (from January 2016 - June 2016,) both from recording in our lo-fi "studio" basement, and at our live shows.

... Drugs... but for your ear holes!
Track Name: Laundry Shop
I...
Once went to a Laundry Shop
To get my clothes clean
I was far away from home
But I still needed to get my clothes clean

Oh, at the Laundry Shop
Oh... at the Laundry Shop
Oh... at the Laundry Shop
At the Laundry Shop!

I...
Once went to a Laundry Shop
To get my clothes clean
Because the summer camp didn't want me to use their laundry machines.

Oh, at the Laundry Shop
Oh... at the Laundry Shop
Oh... at the Laundry Shop
At the Laundry Shop!

But they said, (ooh...)
It would only be an hour or three,
To get my clothes clean,
But their laundry machines broke down,
And I cried...
I cried...
I cried...
I cried...
I cryyyyyyyyyyyy...
Track Name: Blue Bottle / Northern Lights
Purple Bottle... Purple Bottle...
Do you have that Purple Bottle for me? x2
Because I don't like to wine,
But do you have some for me?

Red Bottle... Red Bottle...
Do you have that Red Bottle for me? x2
Because if you don't,
That Dionysus I won't see.

(psychedelic sax solo)

Green Bottle... Green Bottle...
Do you have that Green Bottle for me? x2
Because if you don't,
That Green Fairy I won't see.

Yellow Bottle... Yellow Bottle...
Do you have that rat poison for me? x2
Because if you do,
The Grim Reaper I'll see.

/ Northern Lights /

Psychedelic rays
Pierce into your eyes,
Chromatic light beams
Of unusual size

Iridescence that ain't no surprise
Climb these scales into the skies
Chromatic plasma pies

Melancholy never tasted sweeter
Than your medicine fever
I got so high
Didn't even need a lighter

Man... I took just one toke,
Wasn't much for a city bloke
But, man, I got high...
Altitude sickness

I went on a plane ride the other day...

Track Name: El Capitan
I once was a Lieutenant,
In the military.
I was guarding a nuclear reactor
When I got LD*

Didn't know what I was doing.
Didn't know where to go-oh,
But I knew one day I'd become...

El Capitan x4

I skinned some potatoes
To make a meal
Of morsels and men
Of blubber and seal.

Didn't know what I was doing.
Didn't know where to go-oh,
But I knew one day I'd become...

El Capitan x4

(Keys Solo)
(Sax-y Solos)

One Day
I'll lead them some place. x2

I once was...
An officier
I had a rank
And an odor too.

Didn't know what I was doing.
Didn't know where to go-oh,
But I knew one day I'd become...

El Capitan x4

I was Time...
Hard... Military Time...
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

What's worse?
What's worse?
What's worse!?
But I knew, I knew that I'd become!

(Bass solo)
(Fiddle solo)

One Day
I'll lead them some place
(Can you take me real far?)
One Day
I'll lead them some place
(Can you take them real far?)
One Day
I'll lead them some place
(Can you take them real far?)
One Day
I'll lead them some place.

Track Name: Rainbow Lightning
Ooooh... oooh...
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh...

Look up into star-spangled sky,
It ain't as black and white as it's blue.
Colors melt into starry night,
Shining electric hues.

I ain't seen nothing like it in years,
Rarer than any Blue Moon.
I seen a lot of phenomena in my day,
But I think this one will turn all to ruin.

Rainbow Lightning!
Rainbow Lightning!
Rainbow Lightning!
Rainbow Lightning!

Dreams... turn into superficialities.
Dreams... turn into cold cut realities.
Drums... fading into obscurity.
Gone... are the nights of Rainbow Lightning.

And in the change, everthing's alright.
I see my past, reflected in your face.
A Wanderer...
I see in retrograde.

Made are we from humble beginnings
Then wash in the river Styx* to forget.
Heavens...
Turn like the Zodiac.

Hey...
I'd like some cognac...
I'd like some cognac...
I'd like some cognac...
I'd like some cognac...
